I banged my head on a low bridge…
It would’ve been okay if I viaduct
24th January 2020

Today we decided to be proper tourists and ‘see the sights’ which meant we spent over a million dong each to get a bus a cable car and walk up a bunch of stairs.

The views from the cable car were incredible spanning across the surrounding hills and local village, and every time we went over one of the supports it felt like we might go swinging off the edge.
However when we got to the top it felt like a weird circus tent thingy which I would’ve been way more interested in if I wasnt starving!

So, one hot dog later and i’m fully on board with seeing what this big hill has to offer…
and the result was well worth the trip!

This is the Golden Bridge of the Ba Na Hills in Vietnam, otherwise known as the hand bridge
and it’s well cool!!
Our first steps out onto the bridge were surreal, how often have you ever been standing at the top of the world, above the clouds ?

The bridge was crazy busy and full of tourists from pretty much every country you can think of.

We did super well getting a couple of photos without a million people chilling or taking selfies in.

After we had walked across the bridge (like fifteen times because it was super cool) we headed for the flower festival in the gardens.
From our experience of this place so far it was just weird, sorry from the words of DLTC ‘not weird, different’ but yea it was totally weird.

It had collumns, a fairy garden and a giant chess set, because yano, why wouldn’t it.

The gardens had a buddist temple and giant statue in them wihc was very cool.

So we now decided to head to Sunworld which was a theme park on the same hill as the Golden Bridge, now I know i’ve said this alot but this place was weird.
Sunworld was advitised as a theme park but when we got there it was basically a traditional french village complete with its own notre dame and french restaurants.

Below this french town was an arcade type thing with lots of games and rides.

The mixture of arcade and french town was surreal, I mean who thought of that?

This french village then had a buddist temple and several pagodas up the hill, which was beautiful and very different.

The combination of bridge, cable car, buddist temple and arcade meant that this became a super weird day but a really cool one too.
